What CoachOS is

CoachOS is a platform for golf coaches and the golfers they coach: player communication, video analysis, booking, and business tools. Coaches subscribe; golfers use it free with their coach.

Accounts

  • Keep your login to yourself — you're responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Give us accurate details, and be at least 16 to hold your own account. Juniors are welcome through an account managed by a parent or guardian.
  • We can suspend accounts that abuse the platform, other users, or the law.

Coach subscriptions & billing

  • New coach accounts start with 30 days of full Pro, free, no card needed. After that you pick a paid plan — prices are on the pricing page.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically (monthly or annually) until cancelled. Cancel any time from Plan & Billing — you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for; we don't give partial refunds for unused time.
  • If you cancel or your subscription lapses, your data isn't deleted — features simply close back down until you resubscribe, and you can ask us to export or delete everything (see privacy).
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice — never mid-billing-period. The founding-coach rate runs for 12 months from the start of your paid subscription and then moves to the standard price for your plan, with the same 30 days' notice.

Lesson money is between coach and golfer

CoachOS takes no cut of lesson payments. When golfers pay by card, the money goes to the coach; the lesson contract — including cancellations, refunds and no-shows — is between coach and golfer. The platform's default cancellation behaviour (free cancellation and automatic credit/refund handling more than 24 hours before a lesson) is a tool coaches use, not a promise by CoachOS.

Your content

  • What you upload stays yours — swing videos, notes, drills, branding. You give us permission to store, process and display it, only to run the service (that includes computing swing metrics from videos).
  • Only upload what you have the right to use. That especially means model-swing footage: coaches are responsible for the rights to any video they add to their comparison library.
  • We don't use your content for advertising or to train AI models, and we never sell it.

Honest limits

  • AI swing metrics are estimates from video — coaching context, not measured fact. Don't rely on them the way you would a launch monitor.
  • We aim for the service to be fast and always on, but we can't promise zero downtime. Planned maintenance will be done thoughtfully.
  • To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.
  • Golf is physical: coaching advice, drills and training plans are followed at the golfer's own judgement and risk.

The boring-but-important bits

  • These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and disputes belong to the Scottish courts.
  • If we update these terms materially, we'll tell coaches by email before the change takes effect.
