Diary, lessons & booking
Availability, lesson types, group sessions — and how golfers actually book you.
The rules of the diary
- Golfers book against your live availability: open hours minus existing bookings, blocks and group sessions. Double-booking is impossible — the server refuses it.
- You can book anyone in yourself from the Diary — existing player, new customer, or block time off. Booking outside your open hours is allowed only as a deliberate act (open the slot up from the diary).
- Moving a booking emails the golfer the new time automatically.
Lesson types & passes
- 1Settings → Lesson types: individual lessons (30-min, 60-min, on-course…) with durations and prices.
- 2Passes and bundles (e.g. 5-lesson pass) grant credits golfers spend at checkout automatically.
- 3Group sessions, clinics and fixed courses are on the Academy tier — capacity, price and live signup counts included.
Payments
- Golfers pay by card at booking (powered by Stripe), or you take payment in person and mark it — paid, still to pay, free, or a credit.
- You can send a payment link for any unpaid booking; the status flips to paid automatically when they pay.
- CoachOS never takes a cut of lesson money — your players pay you, not us.
Extras worth switching on
- Waitlist: full day? Golfers join a waitlist and get notified automatically when a slot opens or you extend your hours.
- Calendar feed: Settings → Availability — subscribe once and your diary appears in Apple/Google/Outlook Calendar.
- Book elsewhere? Settings → Profile → "I take bookings elsewhere" hides all the booking tools and turns your app and page into a pure coaching hub, with a link out to your booking system.
